Interesting. Also interesting that it was so hard to show how damaged Blaine is that they used Dottie to show it instead. In a room full of people who’d “disappeared”.

The part that killed me the most.
Blaine’s trying to reach out and find the words to tell Kurt how low he’s sinking, and Kurt doesn’t realize how deeply and achingly Blaine is feeling all of this. Instead of saying, “I don’t know if I can do this anymore” or “I’m losing myself without you” we get the words he knows will hurt Kurt the least. The one’s Kurt will feel himself instead of the truth Blaine’s stuck on. Miscommunication, you wound me so.
I’m going to disagree. Kurt knows Blaine better than we do, we can be sure of that. I think he thinks he has to be the rock here, and really he does. Blaine can’t do the long distance so I think Kurt has decided me MUST be good with it because otherwise it’ll fall apart. I think Kurt knows exactly what Blaine means to say and is afraid that if he admits he feels the same way he’s going to break down because even though New York has been absolutely amazing, he wants to hold Blaine just as much and it’s killing him by inches too and he just doesn’t want to cry. He doesn’t want to fall apart because he doesn’t want Blaine to have to pick him back up. He isn’t ignoring Blaine’s distress, he’s putting up a wall to try to keep the foundation together because he isn’t mentally prepared for his own flood, he just put up the wall in the wrong place and they can’t communicate because of the exact thing erected to try to keep them together. Kurt was terrified from the moment he saw the cracks in front of his face and he broke down quickly. I’m sure he feels like he failed just as much as he’s mad at Blaine. I think he’s going to realize for the first time that he can’t be the boyfriend Blaine needs right now, that he’s simply not strong enough for that at this point. Blaine was his rock when he needed one, but he’s finding out for the first time that he can’t be a rock for Blaine back.
There are a LOT of things both of them will have to work through on their own before they will work together again, but I actually believe in them both. I think they’ll get there. I believe they want it enough. They’re still in love, they’re just far apart and broken.
