President Obama responds to rape statement (below) from Senate candidate Richard Mourdock:
“I struggled with it myself for a long time but I came to realize, life is a gift from god and even if life begins in the horrible situation of rape it is something god intended to happen.”
No, you can’t deny women their basic rights and pretend it’s about your ‘religious freedom.’ If you don’t like birth control, don’t use it. Religious freedom doesn’t mean you can force others to live by your own beliefs.

This is the best, most concise explanation of the past four years ever.
Wow. My dad has the TV on Mitt Romney’s speech (because the football game is supposed to be on now, not because any of us support the RNP) and other than being pretty good at tossing out buzzwords, this speech is infuriatingly inaccurate and hollow. He keeps making these promises that we already know come with huge repercussions. I’m actually terrified of what could happen if Romney becomes President. Being anything other than a wealthy, white, Christian man is going to be dangerous if he enacts everything he says he will. It is scary. It’s scary every time that audience cheers for him and his blatant lies.
If you’re American and over 18 you had better get out and vote for Obama this November. We have to have your votes. It’s so important this year.
