I just realized I have a problem with the phrase “to deepen the kiss.” I have always read it in a mocking tone because, regardless of situation, it is a dumb phrase. What does it even mean? Okay, so you’re using tongues now. Is that actually a good description? We all know what to imagine, yes, but it doesn’t actually mean anything. From now on can we agree to avoid using this phrase in our fanfiction? And in our lives? Let’s agree that it’s cliche and pointless and instead come up with innovative new ways to make our lady loins tingle when describing a kiss.

Blaine’s eyes flicker down to Kurt’s lips before looking back up. “Are you sure about this?” he asks, voice shaky.
“Yes,” Kurt replies without hesitation. a shy smile forming on his face. He leans forward and kisses Blaine gently, sighing in contentment.
Blaine brings his hand to cup Kurt’s cheek, his tongue slipping out to slide along Kurt’s bottom lip. Kurt opens his mouth, allowing Blaine entrance, and their tongues do the familiar dance for a few moments before Blaine pulls back and leans his forehead against Kurt’s.
“I love you,” he whispers, his thumb stroking Kurt’s cheek bone.
A blush creeps up Kurt’s neck, and laughs softly. “I love you too, Blaine.”
Blaine kisses him slow and sweet for a moment. “There’s no one else I’d rather be doing this with.”
“Me either.”
